Wellcare Clients: 

New ID Cards are on the way!

Wellcare Prescription Drug Plans (PDP) is switching their Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) starting January 1, 2024 from CVS Caremark to Express Scripts (ESI). As a result, new ID cards will be mailed to all Wellcare PDP members by January 1^st, 2024. 

For your 2024 Wellcare Prescription Drug Renewal you will be receiving NEW ID cards that will be arriving in a Teal Envelope soon. 

Things to know: 

• Use your old ID card until December 31st, 2023.
• Use your new ID card beginning January 1st, 2024, as your previous ID card will no longer be active. 
• You do not need to activate your online account if you do not wish to use this service. (Online is Optional)

If you do wish to use your online portal for mail order, see the following information:

Existing Mail Order Users: Prescription refills will be transferred to Express Scripts.
New Mail Order Prescriptions: Members will have access to create a profile with Express Scripts on December 1st, 2023 to begin ordering your new mail order prescriptions January 1st, 2024.
